We are seeking an elite Project Superintendent – Program/Campus Lead to lead a large-scale, multi-year, multi-phase commercial campus project in Griffin, Georgia, for Prime Inc., the nation’s largest refrigerated trucking company. (Relocation may be considered based on experience and fit.)

 

This role is designed for a proven field leader with experience commanding complex, high-dollar, program-level projects, not just individual buildings. The Superintendent will have full responsibility for on-site execution across multiple phases, overlapping schedules, and diverse scopes of work while serving as a key liaison between ownership, consultants, and internal leadership.

 

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is built for a Superintendent who thrives on leading complex construction operations from the field. You will oversee the coordination, supervision, and execution of large-scale work, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role also offers a path toward Senior Field Leadership positions as project and organizational needs evolve.

 

Working in close partnership with the Project Executive, Project Manager, subcontractors, and trade partners, you will drive day-to-day field operations while setting the standard for safety, quality, and accountability. This position requires hands-on leadership of Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers, active involvement in pre-construction planning, and a disciplined approach to scheduling, labor planning, and material coordination.

Responsibilities

 

  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Owner, consultants, architects, and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary on-site representative for field operations.
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Participate in constructability reviews, phasing strategies, logistics planning, and risk mitigation. Assist with scheduling, labor forecasting, and material coordination.
  • Construction Management: Lead all field operations across multiple phases and scopes. Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to ensure alignment with plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Safety Compliance: Champion site safety culture and enforce all OSHA and company safety standards. Lead safety meetings, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Cost & Schedule Control: Collaborate with Project Management to control labor, material, and subcontractor costs. Develop, manage, and adjust master schedules and three-week look-ahead plans. Implement Lean Construction and efficiency-driven practices.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and self-perform crews. Foster a positive, productive team environment, ensuring team members are motivated and meeting performance expectations.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress, resolve conflicts, and ensure adherence to project milestones and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the quality standards set forth in the contract documents and manages the implementation of quality assurance/control procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks related to the construction schedule, budget, and quality. Address and resolve on-site conflicts in real time.
  • Closeout and Commissioning: Oversee the punch list process, ensure completion of as-builts, warranties, and commissioning. Ensure a smooth turnover and final delivery.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily reports, safety logs, and material tracking. Utilize Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and related construction technology.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, managing large-scale multi-million-dollar projects.

Proven success leading large-scale, multi-phase, or campus-style projects. 

 

Technical Expertise:

A strong proficiency in construction scheduling software, field coordination, and quality control.

Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera.

 

Leadership:

Program-level leadership with a demonstrated ability to lead people, not just schedules. 

Experience managing multiple Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field teams. 

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

 

Safety:

OSHA 30 Required (OSHA 10 minimum)

Proven track record of leading strong site safety programs. 

 

Software Proficiency:

Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)

Familiarity with BIM and digital construction tools preferred. 

 

Working Environment:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to make sound, timely decisions in high-pressure environtments

 

Working Environtment:

This role will primarily work in outdoor conditions, on-site in Griffin, Georgia. The Superintendent will be required to split time between the office and the construction site to ensure effective oversight. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and Walking: ~75%
  • Sitting and Desk Work: ~25%
  • Occasional lifting of construction materials and equipment.
