Prime is currently seeking an iSeries RPG Programmer with the passion and skills to create new applications and support existing software in a fast paced environment who can analyze, design, modify, write, and implement custom software used to enhance and improve business processes. This position will integrate with 3^rd party applications and exchange information in a secure and effective manner while meeting the needs of our users as well as provide support for installed applications and effectively communicate with users and stakeholders to achieve business goals. Prioritize incoming requests and projects from multiple sources and participate in team projects to integrate, improve, and promote highly functional and secure systems throughout our company.

• Design and write software for use on IBM iSeries;
• Research and resolve complex problems;
• Work with other team members in a multi-platform environment;
• Ensure software preforms as required to meet the customers' needs;
• Use modern tools to create and improve existing processes.

Knowledge

Knowledge and/or experience with administrative functions and or the IT industry would be helpful. Must know RPG and SQL.

Abilities

Self-motivated and team oriented professional. Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, analytical, forward-thinking, and ability to multi-task. Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills. Accurate typing at least 45 WPM. Hours for this position will be 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in an Information Technology or related field is preferred; minimum one year experience developing in RPG; experienced with IBM Rational Developer for i.

Physical Requirements

This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.

Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume can be heavy at times.
