Position supports floral distribution services to customers which includes, warehousing, consolidation and coordination of pickup and delivery of floral products. Despite the position being geared mostly toward office/warehouse work, this associate may also be responsible for assisting with the non-driving aspect of local pickups and customer deliveries of product. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• 10% assisting with local deliveries (Non-Driving)
• 90% warehouse labor and computer/paperwork preparation
• Product/box sortation manually to staged area by customer/destination
• Loading of trucks with manual pallet jack and/or forklift
• Unloading of trucks with manual pallet jack and/or forklift
• Customer interaction at time of product pick up and/or delivery
• Paperwork sortation by customer/destination
• Local customer delivery assistance as needed
• Local shipper pick-up assistance as needed

Schedule to be expected (can vary due to seasonality of the business):

Tuesday:         Noon – Midnight

Wednesday:  7am – 1pm

Friday:             Noon – Midnight

Saturday:       7am – 1pm

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the logistics/transportation industry preferred. General knowledge in warehouse operations is a plus.

Abilities

Must have good organizational, multi-tasking, computer and customer service skills. Reliable, strong desire to learn, ability to follow directions and focus. Works well with others in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Forklift experience and certification a plus.

Hours and weekly work schedule may vary based on arrival time of inbound product deliveries and required local delivery timing to customers.  Due to the nature of our business and during peak shipping periods, it may be necessary to work additionally as needed.   

Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

Forklift experience and certification preferred. Must be able to handle boxes up to 50lbs. each.

Working Environment

Indoor and outdoor at times. Must be able to handle and endure multiple weather conditions.
