Responsibilities

This Position provides support to skilled Technicians in maintaining and repairing various building systems and equipment maintenance repairs by performing the following duties:

  • Responsible for general building repairs & property maintenance including, but not limited to:
    • Minor mechanical, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.
    • Ensure the property, equipment and facilities are kept safe, clean, and in good condition by performing general maintenance & minor repairs
  • Must be comfortable using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to complete maintenance repairs.
  • Building Maintenance Repairs duties to include painting, sheetrock repairs, floor and ceiling repairs, Building & Equipment PM tasks, and assisting Facility Maintenance Tech as needed on other jobs.
  •  Ability to make minor repairs involving maintenance of electrical (lighting, electrical circuits, etc.), plumbing (toilets, faucets, piping, etc.), mechanical equipment, and other related systems in Facility Departments.
  • Seasonal work may include but is not limited to snow removal, salting sidewalks and/or pavement, mowing, trimming and yard waste removal.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written communications with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all Workplace & Safety guidelines.

Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Grounds maintenance knowledge is a plus. Also understanding & experience operating lawn care equipment is required. Painting, sheetrock, and general building maintenance knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • General Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to make minor repairs involving maintenance of electrical (lighting, electrical outlets, etc.), plumbing (toilets, faucets, piping, etc.), and other related systems in Facility Departments.
  • Must have a strong work history and be able to communicate effectively with Supervisor and Co-Workers.
  • Must be able to work independently and also as part of a Team Environment.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching, pedal control and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, handling, climbing and reaching. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.

 

Working Environment

Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.

 

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.

 

Miscellaneous Requirements

Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc. The physical is job specific and will test strength and mobility.
