Responsibilities

As a Prime Eco Retread Production Manager, you will work in a retread production environment using tools and equipment where semi-truck tires are retreaded through a series of manual and automated processes by performing the following production & administrative duties:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

§  Inspecting and buffing tire casings for retreading.

§  Applying rubber compounds to retread the tire.

§  Curing/Pressing retreaded tires

§  Quality control of finished product

§  Any other duties required by management

§  Must maintain a clean working environment

§  Must be willing to work closely in a team driven environment.

 

Administrative duties:

 

§  Processing shop invoices for supplies, and inventory.

§  Inputting work orders for shop production

§  Billing completed work orders to customer

§  Maintaining technician software accesses

§  Associate and production scheduling to meet customer needs.

§  Associate interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

§  Weekly production reporting and occasional power point presenting.

§  Payroll processing

§  Production tracking and monitoring of performance indicators.

§  Consistent communication with customer to ensure excellent service is provided and all customer needs are met.

§  Case review, court depositions, and expert witness testimony may intermittently be required.

 

Inventory Duties:

 

§  Monthly shop inventory counts.

§  Inventory ordering and receiving

§  Inventory forecasting for supplier awareness

§  Inventory spot checking as needed

§  Ordering and maintaining tools and general shop supplies

 

Quality Control Duties:

 

§  Spot checking rejected tires for validity

§  Utilizing Light check for station specific upkeep and equipment calibrations

§  Learning and monitoring station procedures for adherence

§  Reviewing and processing warranty claims (adjustments)

§  Reviewing and scheduling technical trainings for associate skill advancement

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Candidate should possess a mechanical aptitude, and previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but not required.

 

Abilities

Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner. Must be goal-oriented and able to consistently meet quality and production requirements. Must be able to type 40 WPM. Being detail oriented would be beneficial.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Requirements

Applicant agrees to wear face shield, leather gloves, long sleeved shirt and safety glasses with wings whenever operating the skiving machine. Candidate will need to be able to lift 105lbs, carry 60lbs, and push/pull 60lbs.  Steel toed footwear, and safety glasses are required in the shop.

 

Working Environment

Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team. Applicants  for the position understand and acknowledge that PRIME implements in active practice a hearing conservation  program that is fully aligned with the prescribed  OSHA and related regulatory requirements (as defined in 29 CFR 1910.95).

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PRIME will provide protective equipment (“PPE”) as necessary to its associates in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.132(a). PRIME provides safe working conditions that are fully compliant with all applicable OSHA workplace regulations as it respects an associate’s exposure to chemical, mechanical, or other potential workplace hazards or impairing conditions that could compromise the integrity of the associate’s well-being, to include eyes, extremities, face, head, or respiratory system. PRIME associates must fully adhere to all PRIME PPE policies at all times. Any PRIME associate, who refuses to fully abide by these mandatory PPE policies, and related safety measures, may be subject to the appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. All required personal protective equipment will be provided by PRIME to each associate at no cost to the associate.

 

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.

 

Miscellaneous Requirements

Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.

As a condition of employment, all PRIME associates must comply with PRIME’s OHSA safety training and any related company rules, protocols, and programs. PRIME’s OSHA safety program and policies are designed to ensure the safety of all PRIME associates. PRIME associates are at all times required to dutifully comply with any and all of PRIME’s OHSA safety requirements throughout the duration of their employ at PRIME. The failure of any associate to abide by the safety requirements stated in this paragraph may subject the associate to the appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
