Responsibilities

Position will be a working manager that will oversee the operations and management of the café while performing the following duties:

 

  • Coordinates with café director to ensure that the café is adequately staffed at all times of operation.
  • Supervises and participates in daily operations of café on the cook line, in the kitchen, and at the cash register.
  • Makes recommendations and decisions regarding overall operation of the café.
  • Makes recommendations on changes in pricing, and/or changes in products offered.
  • Prepares reports and maintains required records for such areas as inventory control, café sales, and café costs.
  • Follows established procedures for cleanliness and food preparation and ensures that food service work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner an in accordance with government and company standards.
  • Seeks to maximize revenue opportunities and minimize costs.
  • Delivers exceptional service to all customers including non-driving and driving associates.
  • Ensures all associates are aware of their responsibilities and are given supervision and motivation on all aspects of their work.
  • Develops a team of associates that take pride in their job and take ownership of their work
  • Orients and trains staff in proper work practices when they are hired and conducts and evaluates retraining and refresher training.
  • Assures that meals are prepared and delivered on time and in acceptable quantity and quality.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Principles, procedures, and equipment utilized in café. Experience and practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word are required to perform the job. Experience with point of sales system is preferred.

 

Abilities

Effectively manage the operations of the café and the café associates. Prepare both written and verbal reports as needed. Perform effectively as a member of the team in carrying out the purpose of the café. Perform the essential duties of the job. Able to execute disciplinary actions when necessary.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

At least one year of management experience, preferably in a food or retail environment, is required. Must be able to demonstrate a solid work history as well as an interest in the Food and Beverage industry, be self-motivated, and possess excellent customer service skills. Prior cash-handling experience is required.

 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for up to entire shift. Performs bending, lifting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead. Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls food, equipment, supplies, etc. up to 45 lbs.

 

Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a kitchen environment.

 

Licensing/Certification

 

Miscellaneous Requirements

Flexible hours required with the willingness to work evenings and weekends. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
