Responsibilities

Prime Floral offers a floral distribution service to customer’s that include warehousing, consolidation and coordination of floral product delivery. Associate will work in the warehouse handling flower boxes and performing the following duties:

 

  • Receive Products
  • Loading of Trucks
  • Unloading of Trucks
  • Customer Service
  • Product Sortation
  • Paperwork Sortation
  • Counting of Product
  • Reading Labels
  • Inventory Control
  • Pallet Jack Warehouse Work
  • Possible Forklift Operation With Certification
  • Ability to Work With Electronic Scanners and/or Bar Code Readers
  • General Computer Knowledge and Skills

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry desired. General knowledge in warehouse operations is preferred.

 

Abilities

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and customer service skills required. Reliable, strong desire to learn, ability to follow directions and focus. Works well with others in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Forklift experience and certification a plus. Hours will average 40-45 per week, and the schedule will vary but the primary schedule will be a Monday through Saturday work week with the daily shift typically starting about 4pm and ending about 2am with alternating days off.   Due to the nature of our business and during peak shipping periods, it will be necessary to work additionally as needed. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Requirements

Forklift experience and certification preferred. Must be able to handle boxes up to 60lbs. each.

 

Working Environment

Indoor and outdoor at times. Must be able to handle and endure multiple weather conditions.
