Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glasses, pots, pans and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Additionally, the dishwasher is expected to keep the area clean and safe.

1. Scrapes food from dishes and washes them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
2. Washes pots, pans, and trays.
3. Unload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize.
4. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
5. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
6. Empty trash containers regularly
7. Loads and unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
8. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
9. Applicant must be flexible on hours, including the willingness to work nights and weekends.
10. Willingness to be crossed trained in other stations of café during slow periods.

Knowledge

Industrial kitchen experience is a plus.

Abilities

Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends preferred.

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

Position requires frequent walking, head turning, bending, reaching, and grasping; constant standing forward reaching and grasping. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 45lbs and push and pull minimally.

Working Environment

Primarily indoor working environment with controlled heating and cooling with varying exposure to chemical odors.

Licensing/Certification

Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
