Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for making repairs as needed in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Further responsibilites include, but are not limitied to, maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, instrumentation/controls and related systems.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); vocational training beyond high school in one of the technical fields mentioned above preferred. 5 years' experience in general maintenance, or other related field with responsibility that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures required.
This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching, pedal control, and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, handling, climbing and reaching. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 80lbs. Candidate is required to be able to stand for periods of 6-8 hours at a time.
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work. HVAC certification required; Journeyman Electrician preferred.
