    Prime, Inc. is lookign for an HR Intern to communicate with and coordinate between state unemployment agencies, departmental managers, and in-house counsel to complete the unemployment claims process in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Manage and organize unemployment claims for the company;
    • Research reasons for separations;
    • Protest and appeal claims to protect the company from improper unemployment beneft charges;
    • Coordinate unemployment hearings by gathering proper documentation, witnesses, and information;
    • Review Benefit Charge Statements and protest improper charges to the company's account;
    • Cross-train in other Human Resource functions including Family Medical Leave processes and Record Management;
    • Support the Human Resources Department with general HR tasks and duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience:

    Applicants must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.

     

    Language Ability:

    Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.

     

    Math Ability:

    Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis..

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidates must be able to type a minimum of 45 WPM.
