    Prime, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, customer-oriented associate to join our growing Intermodal team.  This position is responsible for assisting the sales coordinators while providing administrative support by performing the following duties:


    • Enter loads in the system.
    • Schedule pick up appointments.
    • Contact customers to set intermodal delivery appointments prior to de-ramping.
    • Assist Operations personnel in rescheduling appointments.
    • Updating customer web portals.
    • Serve as an extension of sales to increase customer business and opportunities.
    • Communicate service problems, turned down freight and new business opportunities to Sales, when requested.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with Customer, Service Providers, Operational Personnel, Drivers and Management of all levels.
    • Quote, negotiate price, and commit intermodal services on the spot with customers.
    • Handle incoming calls for customers and carriers for shipping freight. 
    • Be a valuable resource for problem resolution, load tracking, and collection on invoices.   
    • Assist with putting in bids.
    • Entering Rates.
    • Investigating/Fixing invoice discrepancies.
    • Responding to emails from customers.
    • Review TAPS.
    • Review detention requests/denials.
    • Investigate anything that is delaying bill processing.
    • Help facilitate billing and other functions as needed.

    Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.



    Basic knowledge of trucking/transportation industry preferred, but not required. Prior customer service experience preferred.



    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to execute logical decisions quickly.  Ability to multitask in dynamic, fast-paced, team oriented environment.  Good computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to accurately type at 50 WPM.  Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and the general Internet.  Require flexible schedule with the ability to work rotating weekends as necessary.


    Experience, Education, and Training

    Four year college degree in a business related field or at least one year in a customer service environment preferred, but not required.


    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to sit for a large portion of the day. Also needs to be able to multitask, talk on the telephone for extended periods of time and type efficiently.


    Working Environment

    Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Surroundings can be noisy at times.
