    The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet or an event, including set-up, food preparation, serving and cleanup. The Banquet Manager is responsible for hiring, training coaching, disciplining and reviewing the banquet staff



    • Oversees the daily operations and administrative responsibilities of the Banquet department.
    • Responsible for all long and short term planning and day to day operations of the Banquet department.
    • Performs daily walk-through of all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Health regulations and Oasis standards.
    • Knowledgeable of the menu for each function served and can explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.
    • Responsible for developing innovative and creative décor for Banquet function space.
    • Ensures all Banquet functions exceed the client’s expectations in accordance with the BEO
    • Supervise, lead, coach, motivate and empower the Banquet team including the Assistant Banquet Manager, banquet captains, servers, bartenders and banquet housekeeper toward achieving exceptional guest service results and complete associates engagement.
    • Manages employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices and customer care are enforced.
    • Maintains a positive teamwork environment.
    • Greets on-site contact for assigned event(s) and stays in contact through the event(s).
    • Ensures Banquet department scheduling and staffing is sufficient for all daily functions
    • Responsible for appropriate and timely setup of all functions and meets while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.
    • Provides pre-function briefing and table assignments to all Banquet staff.
    • Assists in the setup, breakdown, and storage of Banquet furniture, tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, audio visual, props, staging, dance floor, pipe and drape, portable bars, and any other related items.
    • Provides the client with accurate final billing at end of function and inputs payment into computer software.
    • Responsible for counting and maintaining inventory to include; banquet supplies, soda and liquor. Orders needed supplies.
    • Attends BEO and F&B meetings.
    • Works closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and all other Hotel Management.



    • Must have management experience in Banquets, Catering, or Food & Beverage.
    • Hospitality Management degree preferred.
    • Must be able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.
    • Bartending experience preferred.
    • Audio Visual experience preferred.
    • This is a full time Management position that requires full flexibility, including the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays with a varied schedule.
    • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office. Experience with OPERA operation system beneficial.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must have a genuine desire to understand and anticipate the needs of other in a fast paced environment.
    • Must possess the following traits; high energy, motivational leader, effective communicator, strong trainer and exceptional customer service.

    Physical Requirements:

    • This position requires constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. Pushing and pulling and average weight of 97lbs. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employement with Oasis Hotel.
