    The A/V Tech is responsible for configuration, set-up and trouble-shooting of all audio, video and lighting for banquet related events. This position work closely with the client and must possess strong customer service and communication skills. In addition this position will also assist in various areas of convention services when not preforming A/V duties to include; banquet setup and service of food related events.


    • Coordinates all aspects of Audio Visual service in accordance with the BEO (Banquet Event Order)
    • Greets on-site contact for assigned event(s) and stays in contact through the event(s).
    • Manages inventory of all audio and video equipment
    • Ensures all equipment is well-maintained and operable for all events
    • Set up, tests and operates systems during events and presentations.
    • Runs lighting system
    • Operate and manage sound mixing board
    • Work with vendors on equipment and software maintenance programs.
    • Sets-up all meeting and events according to the BEO ensuring that all required equipment such as computers, projectors, screens and audio/visual items are properly placed and operational.
    • Responsible for being present during events to operate equipment and to ensure that the presentation runs smoothly
    • Responsible for breaking down all equipment for meetings and events after completion.
    • Ability to assist with and/or resolve minor IT related issues if needed.
    • Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refers the matter to the Assistant Banquet Manager/ Banquet Manager.
    • Attends weekly BEO meeting



    • Vast knowledge of Audio Visual equipment and operation.
    • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and have the ability to work calmly in a fast paced environment
    • Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills
    • Must be able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload.
    • Must have a positive and professional upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
    • Must be dependable and energetic
    • Must be flexible regarding scheduling as it is based on business demands

    Physical Requirements:

    • This position requires constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. Pushing and pulling and average weight of 97lbs


    Working Environment

    • Indoor working conditions in fast paced environment.
