Responsibilities

Directs restaurant operations to ensure profitability and efficiency. Assumes responsibility for the management, supervision and training of employees. Maintain day-to-day management activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates guest needs and ensures that service exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our guests and handle complaints, requests and inquiries.
  • Receive and greets guests, assists with seating and serves tables when needed.
  • Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff.
  • Assists with private dining setup, service and tear down.
  • Assists in the hiring and training of all FOH associates.
  • Insures proper staffing levels according to forecasts and seasonal trends.
  • Supervises the FOH staff and maintains uniform standards.
  • Acts as initial contact for disciplinary actions. Ensures actions are consistent and accurate. Provides detailed account of any disciplinary issues to the Food & Beverage Director.
  • Ensures side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining liquor inventory and cost controls.
  • Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission and insures all FOH staff is current in MO SMART alcohol training.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Maximizes bar profitability by ensuring portion control, monitoring accuracy of charges and end of month inventories.
  • Inspects dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety. Takes immediate action to correct any issues.
  • Maintains communication with Hotel/Restaurant Management team.
  • Attends weekly BEO and Hotel Management meetings.
  • Responsible for printing and maintaining food and beverage menus.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the General Manager/Director of Food & Beverage, in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
  • Booking of Private Dining Events.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Full service restaurant management experience to include extensive bar and wine knowledge.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and have the ability to work calmly in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Will work a varied schedule to include days, nights and weekends.

 

 Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires constant standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs. Pulling and pushing is minimal. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Oasis Hotel.
